Pete is the proprietor of Lakeside Garage, which he started in 1984. However, he has been in the motor trade since 1974 when he began his career at Minchinhampton Motors.
He attended Technical college for 4 years and passed both City & Guilds parts 1 & 2 and the National Craftsman's Certificate.
He is currently the president of Nailsworth Chamber of Trade.
Always a keen and talented musician and singer, Pete is now rhythm guitar and lead vocals with the fabulous Boogie Bop Boys - a 1950s style Rock'n'Roll band.
Jon has worked at Lakeside Garage since he left school in August 1992.
He attended attended Technical College for 3 years and passed City and Guilds parts one, two and three.
However his training has been constantly updated over the years, engine management, air-conditioning, ABS braking, etc. Jon has, of course, gained a vast amount of experience and knowledge which cannot be obtained from a text book or training course, working is a busy workshop environment with Pete.
Jon is now a fully qualified MOT tester.
Christopher started at work at Lakeside Garage in July 1997. His employment began as a apprentice motor mechanic, but it soon became clear that his strengths were in the administration and customer relations side of the business.
He has achieved the National Vocational Qualification at level 3 in Customer Service and Administration.
Tom has almost finished his comprehensive apprenticeship, which includes City and Guilds training at Gloucester College. He has obviously inherited some of his father's "spanner skills" and is usually found working under a car putting his training to good use.
He is a talented artist, happily swapping his socket set for a a 4B drawing pencil. When he has the time, Tom can be seen helping roadie the Boogie Bop Boys kit around the County.
Jamie is the new boy, well at least he was when he started at Lakeside Garage in 2009. He joined with enthusiasm and youth as his main tools, but quickly began to show his aptitude for engineering and electronics.
Part of his apprenticeship is attending Gloucester College for the City and Guilds qualification.
In his spare time, Jamie is often found doing his "homework" by working on his own car!
